2026 World
Arthritis Day
October 12 is a time to raise awareness and advocate for the nearly 600 million people across the globe living with some form of arthritis.

Remission is More Than a Number
To mark World Arthritis Day, the Global Remission Coalition’s 2026 Campaign, “Remission is More Than a Number,” focuses on the need for health systems and clinicians to set remission as a treatment goal and take a person-centered approach to care that prioritizes patients’ quality of life.
The Need for Action
Arthritis is a term for more than 100 different conditions that affect the joints and surrounding tissues. People living with arthritis often face joint pain, reduced mobility, swelling, fatigue and emotional effects that impact their daily life. Despite its prevalence, arthritis is too often overlooked, leading to delayed diagnosis and care.
